Alfred Stieglitz

The Grand Central Terminal (1929) stands out to me because of the light coming from the windows. It looks like five giant spotlights shining down on the people. I think the light is the main focus of this picture at least that is what I saw first in the picture.The far left window caught my eye first because you can see the individual streams of light clearly and I think that looks really cool. 

 

Not having color might have been a challenge but I think the color would ruin this picture because if the main focus is the light and color would distract from that.

 

Looking at his other photos and this one, The Grand Central Terminal is different because his other pictures were kind of creepy to me but this one doesn't creep me out. It makes me curious to how he got the light to show up like that and I also wonder if it was that extreme in real life.
