Sierra was kind enough to take the time and answer the questions I had for her. I messaged her on Instagram and asked about her photography and how she takes her pictures. First I asked how many photos she takes of one subject. She responded saying she usually takes five to fifteen pictures in each pose or of each subject. I also asked if she plans out her pictures and what that planning process is, Sierra likes to be inspired by what is around her while she is shooting, sometimes she plans out her photos by getting props and using Pinterset for inspiration. Since she is also a high school student I wondered how much time she actually gets to take pictures and how much time she actually spends with her camera each day. Not surprisingly with school and homework Sierra does not get much time with her camera besides in photography classes. On the weekends she only takes pictures when she feels inspired because if she is not motivated then the pictures don't turn out good. For some of my own questions I asked if she prefers taking pictures or editing them. She said she enjoys both pretty equally but really likes taking pictures because it is when she feels most inspired. For my final question I asked if she intended to do photography for the rest of her life as a career or just a side job or hobby. She said that doing photography as a full-time job would be great however it does not always pay well so she wants to have a backup plan of some kind. 

 

To take pictures Sierra uses a canon rebel t5 and 50mm and 18-55mm lenses

To edit she uses lightroom with her own presets and to make some more money she intends to start selling her presets.
